Arthur Conan Doyle lived in South Norwood and Sherlock Holmes, who famously resided at 221B Baker Street, often ventured south of the river to solve crimes. We discuss transpontine Holmes stories The Sign of the Four and The Adventure of the Norwood Builder and their many adaptations, the author’s time in South London and visit a lake named in his honour. Featuring readings by Joel Knight.
